As the last iteration (unless HP gets a clue that they have a competitor for the almighty iPhone)Palm Pre 3 is even better than my original Palm Pre Plus. All the quirks in the previous versions have been addressed here. It does not pause, take an extended time to turn of and off, and has the battery life it should have had all along.CONS: It's not 4G. A tad larger than the original Palms. I would never buy an iPhone due to the size, I want a small phone that fits in my hand, despite the larger size which makes it difficult to fit in some women's jeans size is still very manageable. Limited applications but I have always found everything I needed.PROS: WebOS - what else can I say? A savvy world-phone with all the bells and whistles of the original Palm. As a previous Palm user I simply had to log into my Palm profile and everything was on my new phone, contacts, apps, email. Mobile hot spot at no extra cost.Do I love this phone, yes, yes, yes. I have no hope that HP will revise this little diamond so I can only hope someone develops a comparable 4G phone before I need a new phone.

firstly, the shipping was incredible. I ordered it at 5PM on a thursday, and it shipped the next day, I had it in my hands on that Monday. And i did not opt for anything more than the original shipping speed (3-5 days). Perfect.The phone is great. It seems to be a latin america model, but it works flawlessly on AT&T. Just make sure you have a micro SIM card (or cut your full sized one). I am able to use 4G on ATT (NOT LTE, the HSPA+).This phone is so far excellent, and everything has gone smooth. The best part? No bloatware from AT&T, and everyone wondering how you got a Droid Razr on that network instead of Verizon.UPDATE 7/5/12 -Okay, so when I got the phone, there was news of an ICS upgrade coming out. Well, lucky for me, I happened to get a RAZR from Puerto Rico (it was in English and was unlocked, of course) but the update wasn't coming through. I had to jump through hoops to get ICS installed on it, even go as far as changing the system version from the Puerto Rican version to one from Brazil so I could get ICS on it.I am not sure how OTA updates work for this phone, so I did it manually. It was a giant pain, but it did work smoothly, and I am finally on Android 4.0.4.Case in point - excellent phone, but if you want to upgrade the stock 2.3.5 that it comes with, it will require some technical knowledge to do. Besides this, I am loving the phone.

I could not disagree more with the previous reviewer. It sounds more to me like he sucks at the skill that typing on a phone requires, probably not patient enough or has pretty big fingers. It has been a joy for me to use for the last month of having it. I am coming from a Black berry and this has been vastly superior. The touch screen is not only very responsive but you have the built in option of just sliding your fingers from one letter to the other to type which makes if much more effortless than the typical input method and i didn't have to download an app to do taht.Its feature rich and beautiful to hold and look at. Matter of fact just about every one who has seen me with it and played around with it wants one. If you are looking for a dual sim, go no further but even if you are just looking for a single sim its def worth the buy. There is one serious down side but I would still have bought it when I think of all the others pluses - the HSPDA is only a mere 7mbps. Way way too small for a phone of this price and design. The other downers like battery capacity is pretty typical for these smartphones so I won't discredit this model for it but it's really drains too fast no matter how I try to save power. Overall a def 4 stars for me.

I've been using webOS phones just about from their start. I got a Sprint Palm Pre in October of 2009. I recently got the HP Pre 3 and have no regrets. This is what Palm SHOULD have done in the first place. Sleek, black minimalist "pebble" design like the original (only larger) -- no buttons on the face, just the gesture area. Solid feel (MUCH better than the kind of "plasticky" feel of the original Pre) with a high resolution screen (480x800).Brought the Pre 3 to the AT&T store nearby and they activated it and transferred my old Sprint number in literally just a few minutes. No hassles at all.Don't let anyone say otherwise...webOS is the best mobile OS out there. TRULY multitasking (not just music-in-the-background, like Apple). And the Palm (now HP webOS) Profile, which instantly populated my new phone with all my contacts, memos, email accounts, AND APPS (WITH their data in many cases!) was "cloud computing" LONG before anyone called it that! And by the way, there are THOUSANDS of apps. It IS true that many are not compatible with the Pre 3 (and some are only partly compatible), but the biggies are all there. I DO miss Sprint TV, but that's AT&T's fault, not Palm's or HP's."One more thing..." (actually two things) 4G and HD video (plus editing).
