David Nelson Dies at 74

In the 1950's and 60 of the Nelson family was one of the most popular on television, but on Tuesday the castmember last survivor of "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet", David Nelson, died at the age of 74. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nelson died at his Century City, California, home after battling complications from colon cancer.

David Nelson, who co-starred with her parents and younger brother Rick in the popular TV show 'The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet ", has died after battling complications from colon cancer, a family spokesman said The Associated Press. Nelson died Tuesday at his home in the Century City area of Los Angeles.

Nelson was born in New York and moved to Los Angeles with his parents, where she attended Hollywood High School and USC. "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" aired on ABC from 1952 to 1966, many of the episodes were directed by Nelson, who was the last surviving member of the family TV.

Nleson film credits included "Peyton Place", "The remarkable Mr. Pennypacker ',' The Big Circus" and "The Big Show." Nelson was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1996.

Nelson is survived by his wife, Yvonne, four sons and one daughter and seven grandchildren. A service will be held Thursday at Pierce Brothers Westwood Mortuary.
