Maryland Staged Terror Controversy

Two explosions from two packages containing some device which was designed to cause fires injured some people and forced the evacuation of the people around the area, Maryland authorities stated.

When the two packages were opened on Thursday, it created a flash and caused smoke and an odor. The explosion occurred around the government buildings. Only two employees were injured by the explosion, but it was that serious, as said by the police.


The first package was about the size of a book. It was opened in the Jeffrey Building on Francis Street, Annapolis at around 12:30 PM. Greg Shipley, Maryland State Police pointed out, “The package was originally sent to Martin O’Malley, the Government of Maryland.”

Soon after the first explosion, a similar explosion happened in Hanover, at the Maryland Department of Transportation’s Headquarters. Two workers were injured, but only one worker was transported to the hospital. Shipley said that the building was not affected by the explosion. “There was no damage,” said the official.

The Maryland marshal, William E. Barnard, stated that the police as well as FBI are still investigating the case. Barnard said the two packages were similar one another.

It was so strange to have explosion of two similar packages which contained similar incendiary devices at the same day and in the same area. Let’s hope it was not the other action of terrorism.
